Due to the pandemic, 19th International Linguistics Olympiad will be hosted virtually by Isle of Man on July 25 – 29, 2022. There will be individual and team contests for the IOL.
The IOL is one of 13 International Science Olympiads for secondary school students, and has been held annually since 2003.
No prior knowledge of linguistics or languages is required for the IOL, even the hardest problems require only your logical ability, patient work, and willingness to think around corners. Give some of the IOL past problems a try!
